case study
Greg Oates is the Information Technology Manager at three schools in Surrey. West Byfleet Junior School, Saxon Primary School and New Haw Junior School.
e4education first worked with Greg on the West Byfleet Junior School website in 2003. At the time Greg has just started at the school helping to set up the network and he realised that the school needed a website. Despite the fact he could do basic web design himself he advised Head teacher Lesley Lawrence to get some professional help. At the initial meeting it became very apparent that Lesley knew what she wanted and showed a real understanding of how a website could help her school.
Four years on and e4education is working with Greg and Lesley to redesign the new West Byfleet Junior School website, and also help them get the most from new technology such as streaming video, podcasting and blogs.
Greg has also kindly introduced e4education to Saxon Primary School (who didn’t have a school website) New Haw Junior School (who had a website with limited functionality) and The South Runneymede Confederation.
Saxon Primary School needed a help with their website and branding. They employed e4education’s services to:
- Design and build the school website
- Recreate the new school logo
- Design some letterheads and compliment slips
- Design a new school brochure with inserts
- Provide photographic services for use on the website and other marketing materials.
New Haw Junior School needed a new website as their old one didn’t allow them to add new pages. Although the old one was free it became apparent that if the school wanted a more dynamic and professional website they might have to allocate a budget. Working to a very limited budget e4education was able to help the school and they can now create as many pages as they wish!
